Coffey County Library

The newest branch of Coffey County Library is in New Strawn, Kansas. The New Strawn Branch was completed in 1997. The doors opened on October 13 and the grand opening was held on November 16 to coincide with National Children’s Book Week.

The New Strawn Branch is located off U.S. Highway 75 at 365 North Main. The branch caters to people of all ages but the emphasis on collection is with materials for youth up to ninth grade, senior citizen material, and popular best sellers.

Services include Inter-Library Loan, fax machine use, public computers, a typewriter, a Xerox copy machine for public use, story times for various age children, and some adult programming. Material format includes books, large print books, books on tape and CD, videos, music CDs, educational and instructional CD-ROM programs, and video games in several different formats.  Computers with public Internet access are also available.

The friendly staff at the New Strawn branch of the Coffey County Library encourages you to come in and browse our selections and take advantage of the services offered.
